Work counts for degree (OUM)

Excerpt from The Star : Beginning today, working people can use their employment experience to get into Open University Malaysia (OUM) to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline of their choice. Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shafie Salleh said the move was aimed at giving people with vast work-related experience a chance to better themselves academically. .... However stringent standards would be applied to ensure that successful applicants fulfilled the requirements to complete their tertiary education, added Dr Shafie.
